We decided to keep New Year's Eve pretty melow! We had a nice family dinner and did a cider toast with the kids, who thought the "fancy juice" was super special! And they love to do "cheers!" After the kids went to sleep we did our tradition of setting goals for the new year and then sharing them with each other. Let's just say we've got a ton of great things happening in 2010... and it hasn't even started yet!
align="center">As for New Year's Day, we decided to load the kids into the van at 4 a.m. and head off to the lake for the kids' first fishing trip! Michael and I used to LOVE fishing from 2003-2006 B.C. (B.C. = Before Children). It was great to introduce the kids to a sport that we both really love and plan to pursue as a family! Despite the fact that we failed to catch anything (other fishermen were blaming it on the full moon, so let's go with that!), we had an awesome time together... definitely a special way to start the year!| Make a Smilebox slideshow |
