Fall 2011 Re-Cap...

We're still working hard to get this site caught-up!  Mike is working on Christmas videos and I'm gathering all of Austin's stuff from the last months of his first year as well as his first birthday!  Together we WILL conquer the demon of TIME... it passes by quicker after each child we welcome into the world.  ;)

Anyhow, below you will find a massive amount of Fall 2011!  This certainly isn't all of it, but it's what stands out!  :)

Starting off we have the kids' Back to School Dinner which we do with their friends every year!  It was a lot of fun and the kids got to end the night with playing in their PJ's and then watching a movie!  :)

{FYI ~ You can click on any photo or collage to view it larger}

Then, we got the actual Back to School stuff cranking!  Thanks to Auntie Jenny & Uncle Pat for spoiling the kids rotten each year with exciting back to school presents!

Below we have the actual FIRST day of school!  While Blake was in class, Addie, Austin and I picked up a couple of books and surprised Blake with his after his big first day!

Of course, there were many Moms with cameras on the first day and we all had to get a shot of those first few moments in class!  Also I've included the first independent writing samples from both Blake & Addison(September 2011) ~ Blake age 4.5 and Addie 3.3

Next up is a fun Fall picture of my big kiddos since Austin wasn't really cooperating  ;)

And below are some fun photos from a trip to the canyon we decided to take after church one beautiful Sunday!

Next up are Blake's school field trip to the L.A. County Fair!  We got to split up once inside and we stuck together with Blake's pal Jameson and his siblings!  It was a fun trip filled with lots of learning and RIDES!  Blake went on his first BIG potato sack slide as well as a roller coaster while Addie opted for the carousel and the Ring a Duck game booth!  ;)  Austin happily went with the flow!

With Fall comes football season!  Auntie Jenny and Uncle Pat went with us to the kids' FIRST football game!  We had a ton of fun as evidenced by the photos... Fall was definitely a time of "firsts" for the kids!  :)

Next, I just had to include this for keepsake purposes.  Growing up my Mom always wrote on my napkins for my school lunches.  I wanted to keep the tradition alive with my own kiddos and Mike has really turned it into something special for them!  He takes the time to draw them a little scene with a positive one-liner!  The sweetest part is that after dinner each night the kids help me pack Daddy's lunch and started drawing their own napkins for HIM!  Blake drew skeletons as it was nearing Halloween and Addie drew sushi because she loves sushi!  It warms my heart each time I look at these photos!

Next up are just a few of my random Fall favorites!!

Just before Thanksgiving, I volunteered in Blake's Kindergarten class.  Below are the photos from my day of observation and fun!  His teacher and classmates adore him... and so do we!

We also celebrated a special someone's 3rd birthday in Fall!  Massimo turned the BIG 3 and was kind enough to let us join in his fun!  The kids had a great time and love the heck outta that guy... almost as much as Mike and I do!  XOXO to Massimo as he enters his FOURTH year... yikes time sure does fly!

Last but not least, we have our trip up to my Mom's house at the creek!  Not only is it beautiful up there, but my Mom spoils us rotten with tasty meals and tons of fun!

Austin's Baptism...

I may not be completely up-to-date with Austin's month-to-month progress, but I refuse to bypass his official welcoming into our Catholic faith!  Few days are as meaningful as our children's Baptisms!

On Saturday, November 5th 2011, Austin Jesse was baptized at St. Louise de Marillac in Covina, CA.  This is the same church all of our children were baptized at, and where their Mommy was baptized too!  Addison, Austin, and myself were all baptized by Deacon Al Valles as well, so it was a very meaningful ceremony for us!  Also, Austin was fortunate enough to squeeze into the same outfit his big brother Blake wore in 2007!  We'll definitely try to keep the outfit in the family!

Tio Justin & Tia Jeanette are Godparents to both of our boys, and while they were unable to be present for the ceremony, we know that Austin is lucky to have them!  We were blessed to have Austin's Grandparents, The Orozco's, fill in for the out-of-state Ninos!  So in a way, it was doubly special!  :)  We're grateful for all of them!

Below are a few photos and a video of Austin's BIG day!  Oh, and this first photo is of Austin in his Daddy's Baptismal suit... it was definitely the 70's!  ;)

Thanksgiving 2011...

Okay, so obviously I'm SUPER delayed!  Nonetheless, I'll be catching up in the coming weeks... straight down to Christmas and beyond!  I'm gonna get this blog up to speed if it kills me!

With that said, here is Thanksgiving 2011 in videos!

Halloween 2011!

At long last!  Halloween 2011!  Truly, this was one of the best Halloweens!  We've got plenty of slideshows and photos below to prove it!  Following the slideshows are some final photos from cupcake and cookie decorating, homemade donut decorating, and a few from actual Halloween night!  Let's just say, "The Force" was with us!  :)
