We started our Veteran's Day with a visit to a true veteran... my Grandpa Blake! He's a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War as an Air Force tail-gunner... a position few survived. We stopped by his work to visit with him and his dog Dolly...
that's right, he still works daily at the age of 85!
We were grateful to get a shot of him with the kids!
After visiting with Grandpa, we went to lunch with the crew, and then decided to take the kids to Cal Poly Pomona for a visit to the farm animals! Oh how the kids LOVE the farm! We were delighted to bring cousin Massimo along for this day of fun! We stopped by the pond first to visit with the ducks... according to Addison and Massimo, the ducks may have actually been killer ducks! While the little ones were terrified, Blake enjoyed feeding the charging ducks, flopping fish, and bashful turtles!
Then, it was time to visit the goats, pigs, sheep, and one sociable donkey! There was even a tiny baby goat running free for the kids to play with! They had such a great time and we enjoyed watching the kids interact and react to/with the animals!
Oh, and to make the day even more complete, I got an awesome shot of my good-lookin' man with his little girl... the photo truly melts my heart! What a stud!
